Custody of funds

At karpatkey, the custody of funds is managed through a sophisticated non-custodial and trust-minimized operational framework.

Our Framework

Central to this setup is the Safe Smart Account, an account abstraction solution developed by Safe. This technology ensures that asset management is conducted with the highest level of security and efficiency.

Then the Roles Modifier, developed by Guild, is integral to enforcing permissions policies. This smart contract allows for fine-grained, role-based access control, enabling asset owners to maintain ownership of their funds while granting third-party execution access as needed.

Roles

Within this framework, asset managers operate under a defined Manager Role, which empowers them to execute transactions on behalf of the Portfolio Safe, all within the constraints of the established permissions policy.

Also, the adaptability of the Roles Modifier ensures that specific permissions can be tailored and assigned to various addresses, allowing for multiple roles to be designated as appropriate. For example, the disassembling, swapping and anti-liquidation roles enabled in the execution tooling described in Execution and Automated Operations sections.

Custody of Funds Structure

This structure provides a secure, flexible, and efficient approach to asset management while safeguarding the integrity of the funds under management.
